Our mission: Foster a rebirth of dramatic storytelling in ballet through programs that provide specialized training for gifted students from around the world.
Developing classical dancers who are capable of expressing powerful theatrical ideas in ballet through a rich understanding of other artistic disciplines, cultures, and traditions. GKA provides year round full-time ballet training by the finest teachers in the world.
The GKA Children’s Program was created for aspiring dancers ages 3 – 11 who want to experience the joy that comes from dancing. Students develop creative movement skills, musicality, rhythm, coordination, expression, character, and confidence.
Gelsey Kirkland Academy of Classical Ballet offers intensive training programs aimed at the full cultural development of the young artist, providing each student with a dynamic range of technical skills, coupled with that elusive quality known as the artist’s “sensitivity of the soul”.
The Gelsey Kirkland Ballet is proud to present an array of performances including The Nutcracker, December 2014 and Don Quixote May 2015.
